lol… Ah the good old blog days. Before The Hutterite Social Network I love it. I am reading through some of these comments and everything is still pretty much the same with the exception of the evolution of the Hutterite Voice on the web thanks to Social Networking. I personally have seen an acceptence now of the Hutterite Voice and it’s a very healthy thing. Keep it up folks. Just refrain from personal attacks.

Hello,
The way of life of the Hutterites is great.
The music great. Your faith in God and devotion
to your way of life is what all Americans and
Canadian are lacking. They are necessary for
civilization to survive. I live in North Carolina
and visit S.D. colonies each year. Pembrook colony
has taken my friend and I in as Family. We love
and care for them as our family also. We thank God
for the great friendship given by the Hutterites. I just wish I was there more than 2 weeks a
year.

I visited Starland Hutterite colony in Minnesota a couple of years ago. They are open to having outsiders join. You’ll have to call them up and visit them in person. I think if you google Starland Colony or Starland Metals, you can locate them. I think the town is Gifford.

Also, Don Murphy (www.anabaptistchurch.org) has a son who joined a colony. He is a good resource.

Good luck–but women don’t wear overalls and suspenders–they always, always wear dresses!
